This is a news alert for all of our patients with Resound hearing aids. Per the manufacturer:
Today, Apple® released iOS 13.5 for iPhone®. This release allows for quicker access to the passcode field on devices with Face ID when you are wearing a face mask, introduces the Exposure Notification API to support COVID-19 contract tracing apps from public health authorities, as well as a variety of bug fixes and performance improvements.
If we find anything that impacts compatibility or ReSound apps, we will update you as soon as possible.
For more information on connectivity and MFi functionality, visit our support page.
When updating the version of iOS on an iPhone, iPad® or iPod® Touch, the hearing aids may lose connection, requiring patients to unpair and re-pair the hearing aids with the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
